Flow Cytometry/Cell Sorter (CytoFlex SRT, Beckman Coulter)

The CytoFLEX SRT is a bench top flow cytometer with a cell sorter used to analyze and separate cells based on their physical and chemical characteristics. The cell sorter function allows for the isolation of specific cell populations by directing them into different collection tubes.

The CytoFLEX SRT is equipped with avalanche photodiode detectors (APD). The laser configuration includes the 405 nm (Violet) laser, the 488 nm (Blue) laser, and the 638 nm (Red) laser. This setup includes 10 bandpass filters: 5 on the 405 nm laser, 3 on the 638 nm laser, and 2 on the 488 nm laser. The 405 nm laser is particularly useful for detecting and analyzing sub-micron particles. Additionally, the cell sorter enables the isolation of these particles. Finally, the instrument supports 4-way sorting and mixed mode sorting and the ability to catch aborts.
