Light-sheet Fluorescence Microscope – Aurora, MSquaredLife

The system Aurora (MSquaredLife) provides a reliable microscopy method, based on light sheet fluorescence illumination, able to achieve 3D volumetric imaging. Light-sheet illumination combines optical sectioning with fast imaging in tissues, living organisms and fixed samples. The planar illumination is obtained by Airy beam structured illumination, improving the field of view reachable and the imaging depth capabilities. Objective lenses with long working distance (10mm) provide a lateral resolution of ~500nm (@525nm).
Applications
> 3D multicolor imaging of live cells, organoids and tissues;
> Imaging of microanatomy of human brain organoids derived from healthy and diseased patients;
> Observation of the volumetric arrangement of neuronal populations in murine and human tissues;
> Studying the cellular arrangement in human-relevant models of liver and barriers (alveolar, gut, ecc).
